Regulatory Compliance Specialist


Education Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Energy Economics, Natural Resources Management or Natural Resource Economics;

Job Duties and Job Description:

  • Maintain knowledge of current regulatory environment;
  • Implement relating changes in company's operations;
  • Develop, enhance and implement statistical and other quanititative models to support underwriting, account management and other business decisions;
  • Conceptualize and create presentations and reports for use with senior management, internal reviews and external regulatory/compliance use;
  • Study economic and statistical data in oil & gas industries;
  • Provide advice and consultation on economic relationships to the president as well as oil & gas clients;
  • Understand technical issues in econometric and statistical modeling and applying these skills toward solving business problems;
  • Monitor statistical model performance and identify opportunities to apply quantitative methods to improve business performance;
  • Review the administration of energy and energy related contracts to ensure that company receives maximum benefit and meets contractual obligations;
  • Develop economic guidelines and standards and prepare points of view used in forecasting trends and formulating economic policy
