Archaeologist & Cultural Resources Manager

Paul was born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK but has spent much of his life traveling and working in various parts of the country in both archaeology and law enforcement.  He has a background in the culinary arts and has worked as a hunting guide and taxidermist and owned/operated a charity non-profit hunting retreat for wounded and disabled veterans, where he raised bison and whitetail deer.

Paul graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1995 with a BA in Anthropology (emphasis in archaeology) and an MA in anthropology from the University of Tulsa in 2018 (emphasis in faunal analysis/zooarchaeology).  His professional interests revolve around food procurement methodology and butchering techniques of early North American Paleoindians.  He has conducted archaeological investigations in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico and Maryland, and has worked for a variety of CRM contractors as well as the USFS and USBR.  Projects include public utility right-of-way expansion, road construction, wind farm and telecommunications towers, oil/gas well pad and pipelines, house pads, and forest thinning projects.

Paul is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and saw combat in the Persian Gulf War.  He is an avid outdoorsman and plays mandolin, Irish Bouzouki, and the Great Highland Bagpipes as well as the Scottish Smallpipes.
